The Milk

Milked everyday from the stars of the show our Toggenburg goats Marigold & Lavender.

Using milk from our own goats makes goats milk soap particular special to us. It connects what we make directly back to the animals, the farm and the reason Birchtree began in the first place.

Meet the Goats
  • A hand holding a white glass mason jar with a metal screw lid against an outdoor rural background with green fields, a small stream, and bare trees.

    Creamy Lather

Goats Milk can contribute to a wonderfully creamy, rich lather, making it a lovely ingredient for handmade soap.

    Naturally Simple

We love keeping things uncomplicated. Our soaps combine goats milk with carefully selected oils, butters and botanicals.

  • Multiple rectangular bars of handmade soap in pale yellow, sage green, and orange-yellow, arranged in rows on a wooden surface against a white brick wall background.

    Handmade

Every bar is made in small batches here at Birchtree farm, then given time to cure and mature.

A Little History

Goat’s milk has been used in traditional soapmaking for a very long time. There’s something appealing about taking a simple ingredient from the farm and turning it into something useful for everyday life.

That’s really what Birchtree is about — making good things from what we have around us, keeping things small and putting care into the process.
